John J. Flynn is Principal and Portfolio Manager at Pzena Investment Management. Mr. Flynn is a co-portfolio manager for the U.S. small-, mid- and large-cap value strategies. Mr. Flynn also serves as a co-portfolio manager for the Pzena Mid Cap Value Fund and the Pzena Small Cap Value Fund. In this capacity, he is part of the team responsible for the day-to-day management of these mutual fund portfolios. Mr. Flynn became a member of the firm in 2005. Prior to joining Pzena Investment Management, Mr. Flynn was an associate at Weston Presidio, a middle-market private equity investment firm. He earned a B.A. in music from Yale University and an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.

Frederick L. Weiss, CFA, is a Senior Investment Manager and leads the research efforts of CIBC Private Wealth Management’s investment team. Mr. Weiss is also co-manager of the firm’s Mid-Cap Growth Equity Strategy, where he is responsible for researching the technology and health care sectors of the market. He came to the firm in 1989 from Adams, Harkness & Hill, where he was a vice president and senior analyst covering the technology and health care sectors. Mr. Weiss earned a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from Harvard College and a Master of Business Administration with honors from the Harvard Business School. He is a member of the DeCordova Museum’s Business Council and serves on the board of trustees for the Cambridge School of Weston. Mr. Weiss has been recognized by Institutional Investor magazine in its rating of national buy-side research professionals. In 2016, he was honored with a CIBC MVP Achievers Award.

David C Hartzell Jr. is President and CEO of Cornell Capital Management. He currently serves on the Wachovia Bank Advisory Board, the Business Week Alliance/Market Advisory Board, and the Barrons “BIG MONEY” panel of experts. As a frequent media contributor, Mr. Hartzell has appeared on national networks including CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC. His insights have been featured in major publications including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Barron’s, Forbes, and Business Week. He also shares his expertise as a guest lecturer for MBA and undergraduate programs at SUNY Buffalo, Niagara University, and Hilbert College. Mr. Hartzell graduated from the University of Utah in 1979 and later completed the SUNY Buffalo School of Management’s Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership in 2002. He is a 2004 graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy and has conducted post-graduate studies at Westminster College, the University of Utah Graduate School of Business, the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). An avid triathlete, skier, and scuba diver, Mr. Hartzell ran with the Olympic torch prior to the 2002 games in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a contestant on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” in 2005, ran with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain, in 2009, and climbed to the base camp of Mt. Everest with an REI adventure team. He and his wife, Carolyn (Coray), have four children and live in the Buffalo suburb of Clarence Center, New York.

John P. Calamos Sr. is Chairman and Global CIO of Calamos Investments, a firm he founded in 1977. With origins as an institutional convertible bond manager, the firm has grown into a global asset management firm. Mr. Calamos has established research and investment processes centered around a team-based approach designed to deliver superior risk-adjusted performance over full market cycles. With 49 years of industry experience, Mr. Calamos is often quoted as an authority on risk-managed investment strategies, markets and the economy, and he has authored two books on convertible securities. Mr. Calamos received his B.A. in economics and an MBA in finance from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He joined the United States Air Force after graduation where he served as a combat pilot during the Vietnam War and ultimately earned the rank of Major.

Andy Eng joined Renaissance Investment Management in 2016, and he is a Senior Research Analyst on the large-cap growth team and Portfolio Manager for the midcap growth strategy. He has over 20 years of investment experience. Prior to joining Renaissance, he was the equity portfolio manager for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Milwaukee. In addition, he had held a variety of analytical and portfolio management roles during his 17 years at Northwestern Mutual, including fundamental stock analysis and portfolio manager of a small-cap growth fund. Prior to joining Northwestern Mutual, Mr. Eng started his investment career with AllianceBernstein. Mr. Eng graduated from the University of Illinois where he earned a Bachelor of Science in finance. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis and became a CFA charterholder in 2003. He is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Cincinnati.

Thomas Plumb, CFA, is President/CEO/Chairman of Plumb Funds, a proprietary mutual fund company where he is also the Lead Portfolio Manager for the Plumb Equity Fund and Plumb Balanced Fund, a role he’s had since the funds’ inception in May 2007. He is also the founding Principal of Wisconsin Capital Management, LLC since January 2004, a firm that traces its origins back to 1984 — formerly Thompson Plumb & Associates. With more than three decades of experience as an investment professional, his career includes 30 years as the lead manager of two balanced mutual funds, the Thompson Plumb Balanced Fund and the Dreyfus Premier Balanced Opportunity Fund. He received a business degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

David Iben, CFA, is the Chief Investment Officer of Kopernik Global Investors, LLC and is the sole Portfolio Manager of the Global All-Cap strategy, Lead Portfolio Manager of the Kopernik Global Unconstrained strategy and Co-Portfolio Manager of the Kopernik Global Long-Term Opportunities and Kopernik International strategies. He is the managing member, Founder and Chairman of the board of governors of Kopernik Global Investors. Prior to Kopernik, Mr. Iben managed the $2.7 billion Global Value Long/Short Equity portfolio at Vinik Asset Management, where he was a director and head of the global value team from July 2012 through March 2013. Prior to this, Mr. Iben was Lead Portfolio Manager, Co-Founder, Chief Investment Officer, Co-President and Manager of Tradewinds Global Investors, LLC, a $38 billion — at February 2012 — investment firm. He continually managed equity portfolios for Tradewinds — inclusive of its two predecessor firms — from October 1998 through February 2012. He was the Portfolio Manager for the firm’s Global All-Cap strategy, North American All-Cap strategy and Global Long/Short strategy, directly managing more than $20 billion assets at the time of his departure. As CIO, Mr. Iben directed Tradewinds’ investment activities, including portfolio management, research, trading and risk management. From 1996 through 1998, Mr. Iben was a senior portfolio manager at Cramblit & Carney. He began his career with Farmers Group, Inc., where over the course of 14 years, he worked his way up from Securities Analyst/Trader to Portfolio Manager and eventually to Director of Research and Lead Portfolio Manager for both equity and fixed income strategies. At the time of his departure in 1996, Mr. Iben was acting as Farmers’ Chief Investment Officer, responsible for $16 billion of investable assets. Mr. Iben earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Davis, and his MBA from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business.

Jay Rhame is CEO and a Portfolio Manager at Reaves Asset Management. He was named to the post on January 1, 2019. He is a member of the portfolio management team, serves on the risk management committee and is Co-Portfolio Manager of the Reaves Utilities ETF. Mr. Rhame joined Reaves Asset Management as a full-time employee in 2005. Previously, he was an energy and utility analyst and one of the firm’s traders. Mr. Rhame received a B.A. degree from St. Mary’s College of Maryland and is a CFA charterholder.

Randy Baron joined Pinnacle Associates Ltd. in 2012 and serves as Lead Portfolio Manager of the firm’s various international products. Previously, Mr. Baron was Senior Securities Analyst at SM Investors, an investment partnership in New York, where his responsibilities included security analysis in various industries encompassing wireless telephony, cable television, food and publishing. Mr. Baron received a B.A. in international studies with a concentration in economics from Johns Hopkins University. He earned his M.A., with highest honors, from Hopkins’ Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, where his course of study focused dually on international economics and Latin American studies.

Stacey L. Sears is Senior Vice President and a member of the Small Cap Portfolio Management team since 2002 at Emerald Advisers LLC. Ms. Sears has been employed by Emerald since 1992 and maintains research coverage of the retail, apparel, consumer goods and consumer technology companies and is primarily responsible for Emerald’s portfolio-management-related client communications. She has been quoted in Fortune, Money, the Dow Jones News Service and various regional newspapers. Ms. Sears received a B.S. in business administration from Millersville University and an MBA from Villanova University.
