CHRISTOPHER T. STIX is a Managing Director of Cowen & Company.
Previously, he was President of Ron & Grow, Inc. and a Consultant for
Boston Consulting Group. Mr. Stix earned his Bachelor’s degree from the
University of Wisconsin, his M.B.A. from Harvard University and is a
member of the Massachusetts Telecommunications Council. Mr. Stix is
married, has three children and among his personal interests includes
hiking and bicycling.
CHRISTOPHER T. HOVIS is an Equity Research Analyst, Internet
Security and Infrastructure at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey. Prior
to joining SunTrust Robinson Humphrey he was a Software Engineer
at Intel and also a Software Engineer at Alliance Semiconductor.
Mr. Hovis earned an MBA (with distinction) from the Wharton
School of Business and a BS (with highest honors) from Georgia
Tech.
CHRISTOPHER SHILAKES, a First Vice President at Merrill Lynch & Co., has
been a member of the Securities Research Division since October 1993.
Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, he was an Investor Relations Director at
Oracle Corporation, a leading relational database software and services
vendor. Before that, he was a Senior Research Analyst with Alex. Brown &
Sons for four years, covering the systems software and relational
database industries. Mr. Shilakes was named to the All America Research
Team in the Server Enterprise Software category from 1997-2000 by
Institutional Investor Magazine. He earned a BA in Economics from
Princeton University.
Christopher Marinac is Managing Principal and Director of Research of FIG Partners, LLC. Prior to the formation of the firm, Mr. Marinac served as SeniorResearch Analyst at The Robinson-Humphrey Co., SunTrust Robinson Humphrey and Interstate/Johnson Lane (now Wachovia Securities). He has been an Analyst since 1992 and has covered banks, thrifts, REITs and finance companies during his career. Mr. Marinac brings a grass roots research discipline to FIG Partners. He is a two-time winner of The Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street” survey and was noted by Institutional Investor magazine as an “Up-and-Comer” during several annual investor polls. He graduated summa cum laude from Kent State University and is a CFA charterholder.
Andrew W. Stapp, joined B. Riley & Co., LLC. in 2007 as a Senior Equity Research Analyst; his focus is on banks and thrifts. Prior to joining B. Riley & Co., Mr. Stapp served as Vice President, Research, at Cohen & Company, where he also covered financial institutions. Prior to that, he was involved in investment banking, wherein he successfully consummated approximately 100 M&A transactions in the financial services industry. He has been a frequent speaker and author on valuation and other issues involving the banking sector, and has been quoted in numerous publications, including American Banker, ABA Banking Journal, SNL Financial and The Wall Street Transcript. He was ranked as a top five analyst in the banking sector in 2008 by Forbes magazine. He received his MBA in finance from the University of Tennessee, where he was elected to Beta Gamma Sigma in recognition of his academic achievements.
CHRISTOPHER M. MUTASCIO is a Principal at Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc.,
and a member of the Financial Services Group. Prior to joining Legg
Mason, he was employed by the U.S. Treasury Department in the Office of
the Comptroller of the Currency. Mr. Mutascio graduated from Gettysburg
College with a BA in Finance and earned his MBA at Loyola College.
CHRISTOPHER LUCAS has been Vice President of Real Estate Research
for Ferris, Baker Watts, Inc. (FBW) since joining the firm in
2000. He was recently recognized by The Wall St. Journal as one
of the ‘Best on the Street’ for real estate and was ranked second
by StarMine/NASDAQ for his REIT stock picking for 2002. Prior to
joining FBW, Mr. Lucas was a Principal with KRA Capital
Management. From 1997-2000, Mr. Lucas was Director of REIT
Research for Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP, where he consulted on a
variety of issues for institutional investors and public and
private real estate companies. From 1987-1997, Mr. Lucas was Vice
President and Director of Research for the National Association
of Real Estate Investment Trusts, Inc. (NAREIT), where he managed
the industry trade association’s research efforts. He is a past
member of the Board of Directors of the Real Estate Research
Institute, a non-profit organization created to stimulate high
quality research on real estate investment performance and market
fundamentals.
Christopher M. Bodnar is an Associate Director of Bear, Stearns & Co.,
Inc. Previously, he was associated with Putnam Companies of Boston. Mr.
Bodnar received his Bachelor’s degree from Boston University.
CHRISTOPHER J. RAYMOND, Vice President, is Robert W. Baird’s Senior
Analyst covering Biotechnology. Prior to joining Baird in 2002, he was
a biotech analyst at Prudential and Prudential Vector Healthcare Group.
Previously, he spent 10 years with Baxter Healthcare and G.D. Searle,
where he focused on marketing oncology and cellular therapy products.
In 2004, Mr. Raymond was named among the “Best on the Street” in The
Wall Street Journal’s annual analyst survey, ranking among the top three
analysts in the Biotechnology category. He received a BA from Michigan
State University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
CHRISTOPHER GUTEK is a Research Analyst for Morgan Stanley Dean Witter.
He joined Morgan Stanley in August 1997 following business school. Mr.
Gutek has covered the business services sector since April 1999, and he
previously covered the engineering & construction sector from January
1998 to March 1999. During business school, he worked as an Equity
Analyst Summer Intern at Putnam Investments. Prior to business school,
Mr. Gutek spent five years working as a Chemical Engineer. He received a
BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley
in 1990 and an MBA from MIT Sloan in 1997.
BRANDT A. SAKAKEENY is a member of Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown’s Equity
Research Department, covering the business services industry. In July,
Mr. Brandt received the number two ranking in his category by Reuters.
Prior to joining Deutsche Bank in May 2000, he was Senior Business
Services Analyst at Salomon Smith Barney, and was ranked number one in
his category in Greenwich’s 2000 survey of research franchises. He
joined Salomon Smith Barney in 1995 following a position as research
associate at Schroder Wertheim, where he supported the number one ranked
lodging analyst. Mr. Brandt received a BA in Economics and Management
from DePauw University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
CHRISTOPHER ENSLEY is a Vice President of Equity Research with Lazard
Freres & Company LLC. Previously, he was associated with Salomon Smith
Barney. Mr. Ensley earned his Bachelor’s degree from the College of
William and Mary and an M.B.A. from Vanderbilt University. He includes
tennis, skiing, and music among his personal interests.
