DAVID TAMERON is a Senior Equity Research Analyst at First Albany
Capital, Inc., providing research coverage in the exploration and
production (E&P) sector. Prior to his employment with First Albany, Mr.
Tameron was a Senior Analyst with Stifel, Nicolaus and Co., where he
covered E&P and master limited partnership stocks. Previously, Mr.
Tameron served as a Senior Analyst covering the E&P sector at ABN AMRO
and as a member of an II-ranked team in the natural gas and pipeline
sector with Prudential Securities. Outside of Wall Street, Mr.
Tameron’s background includes four years of industry experience with
ExxonMobil and two years at a private M&A firm. He holds a BS in
Finance from Arizona State University and an MBA from Duke’s Fuqua
School of Business.
DAVID SHULMAN is a Managing Director and Senior REIT Analyst at Lehman
Brothers. Previously, he was associated with Salomon Brothers, as both
Chief Equity Strategist and Director of Real Estate Research. He has
also served as a member of Ulysses Management LLC. Dr. Shulman holds a
BBA from Baruch College, and an MBA and PhD from the University of
California, Los Angeles. In 1990, he was the winner of the first annual
Graasliamp Award for excellence in Real Estate Research from Pension
Real Estate Association.
DAVID SCHATSKY is Senior Vice President, Research Jupiter Research. He
oversees a global team of technology, operations, marketing and industry
analysts, with overall responsibility for the vision, quality and day-
to-day operation of the Jupiter Research analyst organization. His
research focuses on the systems and processes that underlie electronic
commerce. Recent projects have looked at Web services, IT infrastructure
outsourcing, and systems integration and consulting services. He joined
Jupiter in July 1999 to launch coverage of e-commerce infrastructure and
to advise clients how to build, integrate, deploy and maintain Internet
commerce technologies in new and ongoing businesses. Since then he has
served as senior analyst and research director for a portfolio of
research services ranging from customer relationship management and
Website operations to industry-focused services including retail,
financial services, health and automotive. He is often quoted in major
media outlets such as USA Today, The Washington Post, The San Jose
Mercury News and Forbes.com, and has appeared on NBC’s World News
Tonight, CNN’s Moneyline and CNBC’s Wall Street Journal Report. Prior to
Jupiter, Mr. Schatsky was with Cambridge Technology Partners, where he
served as senior project manager responsible for staffing and managing
project teams to deliver Web-enabled systems to the financial services
industry. Previously, he was vice president at Napa Group, an
information technology consultancy serving brokerages and investment
banks. He has also consulted at J.P. Morgan, where he developed trading
systems; he also served as an international business development
consultant in Viareggio, Italy, for Delphi S.p.A., a firm part-owned by
Olivetti. He received a BS in computer science from Tufts University and
an MA in international affairs, with a focus on international economics,
from the Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins
University.
DAVID S. MACGREGOR is a Founding Partner of Midwest Research and has
been a Managing Partner since the firm’s inception in February 1996. He
is also a Senior Research Analyst covering the U.S. Steel and Metals
Industry. Previously, Mr. MacGregor was associated with Roulston & Co.
and Banque Indosuez, a French merchant bank in New York. He was also
associated with Drexel Burnham Lambert and Nesbitt Thompson Deacon. A
Chartered Financial Analyst, Mr. MacGregor received his Bachelor’s
degree in Commerce from McGill University and his MBA from Columbia
University. He also attended New York University in various Continuing
Education courses.
DAVID S. HOCHSTIM, CFA, is a Managing Director in the Equity Research
Department of Bear, Stearns & Co., Inc. in New York. He is responsible
for the firm’s equity coverage on non-bank financial companies including
credit card companies, Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs), consumer
and commercial finance companies and mortgage insurers. Mr. Hochstim
joined Bear, Stearns & Co., Inc. in 1989 from Shearson Lehman Hutton,
where he also worked as an Analyst. Prior to joining Shearson Lehman,
Mr. Hochstim worked in the strategic planning department at Security
Pacific Bank in Los Angeles, CA. He received a BA degree from Brown
University and an MBA from the University of California at Los Angeles,
California. Mr. Hochstim is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member
of the Bank and Financial Analysts Association.
DAVID PALMER is a Director in the consumer group of UBS Investment
Research. He specializes in the packaged foods and restaurant sector,
and was voted Next Generation II. In his previous position, he assisted
in covering the beverage sector at UBS. Before that, he pursued
corporate bond research and sales at Lehman Brothers. He began his
career at General Re Financial Products as a Risk Manager. He holds an
MBA in finance from Columbia Business School and a BA in Government from
Cornell University.
DAVID NELSON is a Managing Director in the equities division of Credit
Suisse First Boston with responsibility for food and agribusiness
companies. His research approach emphasizes global trade, commodity
market supply/demand analysis, policy trends and EVA valuation analysis.
Mr. Nelson is a rated Institutional Investor All-American for food stock
coverage and the co-coordinator of the number one rated CSFB Global
Consumer team. Mr. Nelson has also been the top rated analyst for
agribusiness coverage in a survey of institutional investors by
Greenwich Associates for the past eight years. Immediately prior to
joining Credit Suisse First Boston, Mr. Nelson was Deputy Director,
Research and Senior Food and Agribusiness Analyst at NatWest Securities.
Previously, he performed economic analysis and lobbying duties for the
American Feed Industry Association in Washington, DC, and was Senior
Livestock Analyst for the animal health group of SmithKline Beecham. Mr.
Nelson has served as consultant to the U. S. Feed Grains Council on
Russian agriculture, an Advisory Committee member to the U.S. Department
of Commerce’s Census of Agriculture, and to the Advisory Committee of
the National Soybean Processors Association. Mr. Nelson holds a
Bachelor of Science Degree from Northern Illinois University and an MBA
from George Washington University. Mr. Nelson is married with two
children.
DAVID MOSKOWITZ is Managing Director of the healthcare research group at
Friedman, Billings, Ramsey Group, Inc. He joined FBR in July 2001 and
currently covers the large cap pharmaceutical sector in addition to
select specialty pharmaceutical companies. From 1999 to 2001, Mr.
Moskowitz worked for UBS Warburg as a specialty pharmaceuticals analyst,
and from 1998 to 1999, he was a biotechnology analyst for Standard &
Poor’s. Prior to entering the financial services industry, Mr. Moskowitz
practiced as a Registered Pharmacist in various hospital and retail
settings for nearly 10 years. Mr. Moskowitz received his BS degree in
Pharmacy from Rutgers University and his MBA degree in Finance and
Pharmaceutical Industry Studies from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
DAVID MALLALIEU is a Gold Analyst for Scotia Capital and brings over 15
years of combined investment dealer and industry experience to the
firm’s equity research team. Prior to joining Scotia Capital, he worked
in equity research for eight years at a competitor firm as a member of a
top-ranked Canadian gold team. Mr. Mallalieu is known for his
comprehensive analysis and quantitative approach to investment
recommendations. His solid background encompasses eight years of
industry experience as a Geologist with Placer Dome and Kidd Creek Mines
Ltd. Mr. Mallalieu received an MBA from Queen’s University and a BSc
(honors) in Geology from Carleton University.
DAVID MAGEE, Managing Director, joined SunTrust Robinson Humphrey
Capital Markets in 1984, and was named a Financial Analyst in 1990. He
is a 1984 graduate of Wake Forest University and a 1991 MBA graduate of
Georgia State. Mr. Magee’s coverage of specialty retail includes firms
in the drug, home furnishings, book, and sports sectors. He has been
named a Wall Street Journal All-Star three times.
