MATT JANISCH is a Managing Director, Head of North American Energy
Research at BMO Nesbitt Burns, Inc. Previously, Mr. Janisch worked for
five years in the firm’s corporate finance department, where he was
involved with numerous debt and equity financings as well as various
advisory assignments, including corporate acquisitions and divestitures,
the majority of which were oil and gas related. Mr. Janisch also spent
five years involved in petroleum engineering in the oil and gas
industry, mainly in reservoir and economic evaluations of Canadian oil
and gas properties and companies. Mr. Janisch holds a BSc in Petroleum
Engineering from the University of Alberta (1984) and an MBA from the
University of Western Ontario (1991).
MATT BLAZEI is a Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager at Dresdner
RCM Global Investors. Previously, he was in a private partnership
specializing in short-selling. Mr. Blazei earned a degree in finance
from U.C. Berkeley. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and is a member
of the Analysts of San Francisco. Mr. Blazei is married and includes in
his personal interests travel, education, athletics and health.
MATT BERLER is a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter.
Previously, he was associated with Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and the
Institute for Defense Analyses. Mr. Berler holds a Bachelor’s degree in
History form Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
A Chartered Financial Analyst, he is a recent President of the New York
Society of Paper & Forest Products Analysts.
MATT BARZOWSKAS is a Vice President and Analyst in the Technology
Research Group at FAC/Equities in Boston, where he covers enterprise
networking. Previously, he was an equity research analyst with Tucker
Anthony. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Boston University and
his MBA from Suffolk University.
MATT ANKRUM is an Analyst at Janus in Denver. Previously, he was
associated with William Blair & Company and Conseco Capital Management.
A Chartered Financial Analyst, he received his Bachelor’s degree from
the University of Wisconsin, Madison and his MBA from the University of
Chicago. GREGORY W. CAPPELLI is a Director and Senior Analyst at Credit
Suisse First Boston responsible for heading the research coverage of the
CSFB’s Essential Services Team. His coverage includes education,
outsourcing and related consumer service sectors. Previously, he was
associated with ABN AMRO. Mr. Cappelli received his Bachelor’s degree
in Economics from Indiana University and his MBA in Finance from
Dominican University.
GERALD R. ODENING is an Analyst at Hambrecht & Quist. Previously, he
was associated with Salomon Smith Barney, Lazard Freres, Lehman
Brothers, and Dean Witter. Prior to entering the investment business he
served as a Reporter/Researcher for Forbes Magazine. A Supervisory
Analyst and a member of the NYSSA, Mr. Odening received his Bachelor’s
degree in English from Occidental College.
SCOTT L. SOFFEN is a Managing Director at Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc.
Previously, he was associated with Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch, and
R.W. Baird. A Chartered Financial Analyst, he received his Bachelor’s
degree in Economics from Rutgers University and his MBA from New York
University’s Stern School of Business.
MARY TRAVERS is an Associate Editor of The Wall Street Transcript. Ms.
Travers earned a B.A. degree in Business Administration from Molloy
College and has done graduate work at Seton Hall University. She is a
Certified Financial Planner and holds her Series 7 and 63 licenses. Ms.
Travers is married and has five children.
MARY ANN WINTER is a Media Analyst and Consultant. She is a member of
the Media Analysts Group of New York, the NYSSA and the AIMR. Ms. Winter
was previously associated with Brown Brothers Harriman, where she spent
almost 17 years, as well as Chase Bank. She holds a Bachelor’s degree
from Baruch College and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School
of Business. In her leisure, Ms. Winter enjoys managing her own
portfolio, traveling, boating, gardening and skating.
MARTIN P. MOLYNEAUX, CMA, CFA, Managing Director, Institutional
Research, at FirstEnergy Capital Corp., has been employed in the
securities industry for the past 14 years and has been involved in the
oil and gas industry for the past 18 years. For each of the last six
years he has been ranked in the top three Oil and Gas Analysts out of a
field of approximately 50 in the Brendon Wood Survey of Canadian
institutional investors. Over that period he has been ranked number one
1 twice. In last year’s survey he finished number two 2 within both the
exploration and production company and the integrated company sectors.
Marla S. Backer is the Director of Research at Research Associates, LLC. She has
15 years of experience on the sell side, having begun her career as an Associate
with the Special Situations research team at Morgan Stanley. Her background as a
research generalist has given her the flexibility to cover several different
sectors over the course of her career. She spent three years as a Senior Analyst
at Bear Stearns, where she covered the global cement and construction industry.
Following that, she was a Senior Analyst at Salomon Brothers, where she headed

MARK WEINTRAUB is a vice president at Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he is
the Senior Analyst for Paper and Forest Products and the Coordinator of
Goldman’s Global Paper and Forest Products Research Team which covers
companies in Europe, Asia, Canada, South America and the U.S. He was
formerly associated with First Manhattan Co. and with Miller Freeman. A
Chartered Financial Analyst, he graduated from Princeton University with
a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. In his free time, Mr. Weintraub enjoys
traveling, reading and playing squash. He welcomes the time spent with
his wife and his daughter.
