Eric M. Teal is Chief Investment Officer and Managing Partner of Queens Oak Advisors, a position he has held since August 2015. He has overall responsibility for the firm’s investment strategy and results. This includes overall responsibility for asset allocation and directing portfolio management, research, trading, planning and risk management. Also, as Chief Compliance Officer, he is responsible for the firm’s adherence to all compliance standards. Additionally, he helps oversee the strategic direction and growth of the firm. Previously, he was the Chief Investment Officer of a regional bank and led the organization’s Capital Management Group for over 10 years. Formerly, he was Director of Equities for a Boston-based mutual fund company for nearly 10 years. He has a B.A. degree in economics and international studies from Rhodes College. He also is the past President of the alumni executive board for Rhodes College. He has an MBA from the University of Memphis and studied at the London School of Economics. He is on the board of the Echo Foundation and also on the UNC-TV board of trustees and serves as Board Chairman.

Owen Harvey is a Research Analyst at Miller/Howard Investments Inc. Earlier, Mr. Harvey spent seven years with Lazard Freres, where he was a technology analyst. He received a B.A. from Bennington College and an MFA from State University of New York, New Paltz.

Lowell G. Miller founded Miller/Howard Investments Inc., where he is Chief Investment Officer, in 1984. He is the author of three books on investing, including The Single Best Investment: Creating Wealth with Dividend Growth. He has also written on financial topics for The New York Times Magazine and has been a guest on Louis Rukeyser’s “Wall Street Week.” He received a B.A. in philosophy from Sarah Lawrence College and is a graduate of New York University School of Law.

Jason Lazarus, CFA, Vice President and Portfolio Manager of the Intrepid Income Fund, joined Intrepid Capital Management, Inc., in 2009. Mr. Lazarus focuses on research of high yield fixed income investments. Mr. Lazarus received his M.S. in finance and a B.S. degree in industrial and systems engineering from the University of Florida.

Brian Laks, CFA, is Research Analyst at Old West Investment Management, LLC. He is a member of the Portfolio Management Team and Old West Investment Committee. Prior to joining Old West, Mr. Laks was a research analyst at NWQ, an affiliate of Nuveen Investments. He earned his undergraduate degree and MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.

Eric Green, CFA, is Director of Research, Senior Portfolio Manager and Senior Managing Partner at Penn Capital Management Company, Inc. Mr. Green began his career at Penn Capital in July 1997. As Director of Research, Mr. Green is responsible for guiding the firm’s day-to-day investment research process. He also serves as the Portfolio Manager for Penn Capital’s Small Cap, Smaller Companies Growth and Mid Cap equity strategies as well as chairing the Penn Capital Equity Strategy Committee. Throughout his career, Mr. Green has focused on the energy, media, gaming and leisure industries. He is a member of the firm’s executive committee, which drives overall strategy and management of the firm. Prior to joining Penn Capital, Mr. Green gained experience with the Federal National Mortgage Association, the Royal Bank of Scotland, and the United States Securities and Exchange Commission where he served as a financial analyst in the Division of Investment Management. Mr. Green is also Vice Chairman of the board of directors for the Anti-Defamation League — ADL — Mid-Atlantic Region and Co-Chairman of the ADL’s 2018 Walk Against Hate. He received a BSBA, cum laude, from American University and received an MBA from the Yale School of Management.

Kelly Patrick, CFA, is Portfolio Manager and currently manages Jarislowsky, Fraser Limited’s International Equity strategy, and co-manages its Global Equity and All Countries Equity strategies. Mr. Patrick is also a member of the Investment Strategy Committee. He joined the firm’s Montreal office as a Research Analyst in 2006 and became a Partner in 2009. Before joining the firm, Mr. Patrick was a Portfolio Manager at a private investment firm based in Montreal. He has also worked at CIBC World Markets and a private engineering firm, both based in Calgary. Mr. Patrick is a mentor for the McGill MBA program. He received a degree from the University of Alberta and an MBA from Concordia University.

Marie L. Lorden is a Portfolio Manager and Co-Founder of Fairpointe Capital, LLC. Ms. Lorden serves as a member of the Mid-Cap Investment Team and the firm’s executive team. Her responsibilities include serving as Co-Portfolio Manager for the midcap strategy, including the AMG Managers Fairpointe Mid Cap Fund, Parvest Equity USA Mid Cap Fund, and institutional and private client accounts. Prior to co-founding Fairpointe Capital, Ms. Lorden was, for eight years, a member of the Mid-Cap Investment Team at a predecessor firm. She co-managed the Aston — now AMG — Mid Cap Fund, the Parvest Equity USA Mid Cap Fund, and institutional and private client accounts, as well as providing research and analysis of existing and potential midcap equity holdings. Ms. Lorden held positions specializing in equity product analysis with Zurich Insurance Group, Driehaus Capital Management and The Burridge Group, where she was responsible for midcap equity maintenance research and institutional client service relationships. Previously, she was a project manager at Radio Free Europe in Prague, where she was responsible for analysis of registration options for the international bureau locations. Ms. Lorden received a degree from Elmhurst College and an MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management.

Mary L. Pierson is Co-CEO and Portfolio Manager at Fairpointe Capital, LLC. She is part of the Mid-Cap Investment Team, serving as Co-Portfolio Manager for the midcap strategy, including the AMG Managers Fairpointe Mid Cap Fund, the Parvest Equity USA Mid Cap Fund, and institutional separate accounts. Prior to co-founding Fairpointe Capital, Ms. Pierson served for seven years as a member of the Mid-Cap Investment Team at a predecessor firm. She co-managed the Aston — now AMG — Mid Cap Fund, the Parvest Equity USA Mid Cap Fund and separately managed institutional accounts as well as providing research and analysis of existing and potential midcap equity holdings. Ms. Pierson’s prior experience also includes 15 years with Harris Bancorp and Harris Futures Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary. While serving as General Manager at Harris Futures Corporation, she was responsible for managing all aspects of the institution, which operated as a financial futures broker. Ms. Pierson received a degree in economics from DePauw University, an advanced degree in economics from Northwestern University and an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago.

Randy Watts, CFA, is the Chief Investment Strategist at William O’Neil + Co. Inc. With more than 25 years of equity asset management experience, Mr. Watts has a specific focus on large- and small-cap growth stocks. He started his career as an Equity Analyst at Freedom Capital Management in Boston, before spending nine years at Westfield Capital Management as an Equity Analyst and then as a Partner and Portfolio Manager overseeing a $500-plus million growth stock portfolio. While at The Boston Company, Mr. Watts was a Senior Managing Director with responsibility for small- and midcap growth investments. He managed $4 billion in long and long/short equity portfolios and hired, trained and managed a team of investment professionals. Most recently, Mr. Watts ran a $300 million long/short equity portfolio for Folger Hill Asset Management in New York. He is a graduate of University of Virginia. He is on the film and video committee at the Whitney Museum in Manhattan. Mr. Watts also serves on the Leadership Councils for both the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine and the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital.
