PAUL VOOIS, 31 has been Chairman & CEO since January, 1998. After
joining 8x8, Inc., in 1994, he led the research and development for
8x8's ViaTV Phone which was introduced in January, 1997 as the world's
first sub$500 set-top videophone. In January, 1997 Mr. Voois became
Executive Vice President and assumed management of 8x8's Advanced
Technology Group, which focuses on 8x8's core technologies such as video
and speech compression and processor architecture. Mr. Voois was born in
Kansas, USA on August 23, 1966. He received a Ph.D. and M.S. from
Stanford University in 1993 and 1989 respectively, and a B.S. from Penn
State University in 1988, all in Electrical Engineering. Profile
