Alan Fishman – Independence Community Bank Corporation (icbc)

FRANK W. BAIER was named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Independence Community Bank Corp. in October 2003 after serving as Treasurer since 2000. Mr. Baier began his business career in 1987 at RJR Nabisco, Inc., where he became Director of Corporate Finance in 1991. A Certified Public Accountant, he was Senior Vice President and CFO of Contifinancial Corporation where he was responsible for treasury, tax and accounting functions for the $10 billion business. ALAN H. FISHMAN is President and Chief Executive Officer of Independence Community Bank Corp. Mr. Fishman assumed the leadership at Independence Community Bank in March 2001 when he was elected President and Chief Executive Officer. After a brief period working in his family's business, Mr. Fishman has devoted his entire business career to the financial services industry. He held a variety of senior executive positions at Chemical Bank, a JP Morgan Chase predecessor, and A.I.G. Prior to Independence Community Bank, from 1999 to 2000, Mr. Fishman was CEO of ContiFinancial Corporation.
