Stephen J. Fauer, CFA, is Pinnacle Capital Management, LLC’s Chief Investment Officer and principal Portfolio Manager. He has been in these roles since Pinnacle Capital Management’s founding in 2006. He began his investment career in 1981 as a Junior Investment Analyst with J&W Seligman & Co. in New York City. He received a B.S. degree from Michigan State University and an MBA degree from New York University.
Elliott Savage is Portfolio Manager of YCG Enhanced Fund and Partner of YCG, LLC. Mr. Savage has served as Portfolio Manager since the inception of the fund. Prior to joining YCG in 2012, Mr. Savage was a senior analyst at Highside Capital Management, a multibillion-dollar long/short equity hedge fund located in Dallas, Texas. Prior to joining Highside in 2003, Mr. Savage worked as an investment banker at Salomon Smith Barney in New York. Mr. Savage joined Salomon Smith Barney from the University of Virginia where he was an Echols Scholar and graduated with distinction with B.A.s in both economics and cognitive science and a minor in biology.
Jason Kish became a Portfolio Manager at Prospector Partners, LLC in 2013 and has been with the investment manager since December 1997. He is also a portfolio manager of Prospector Partners Asset Management, LLC. Mr. Kish has been a portfolio manager or securities analyst for more than 20 years. He began as a junior analyst covering all industries, eventually serving as the property-casualty analyst, and became the Director of Research in 2010. From 1995 to 1997, he worked as an auditor at Coopers & Lybrand, LLP in Hartford, Connecticut. Mr. Kish received a B.S.B.A. from Providence College in 1995. He received his Certified Public Accountant designation in 2000 and his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2004.
Reynold A. Panettieri Jr., M.D., Expert, GERM of Exchange Traded Managers Group, LLC as well as Vice Chancellor, Translational Medicine and Science, and Director, Rutgers Institute for Translational Medicine and Science. Dr. Panettieri, in addition to being the named expert to the ETFMG Treatments, Testing and Advancements ETF (NYSEARCA:GERM), is Professor of Medicine, Vice Chancellor for Translational Medicine and Science at Rutgers University and the Director of the Institute for Translational Medicine and Science. Previously, he was the Robert L. Mayock and David A. Cooper Professor of Medicine in the Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Division of the Department of Medicine and served as Deputy Director of the Center of Excellence in Environmental Toxicology at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine where he remains professor emeritus. Dr. Panettieri is also the recipient of numerous honors and awards, including the Robert E. Cooke Memorial Lectureship at the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Annual Meeting, the Joseph R. Rodarte Award for Scientific Distinction and the Recognition Award for Scientific Accomplishments from the American Thoracic Society, or ATS. He is also an active member of national professional and scientific societies including the American College of Chest Physicians and ATS; in 2013, he was elected Chair of the Respiratory Structure and Function Assembly of ATS. Dr. Panettieri served as Chair of the NIH Lung Cellular, Molecular and Immunobiology Study Section; is a member of the NIH Distinguished Editorial Panel; and is a member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation and Association of American Physicians. Dr. Panettieri is principal investigator on several NIH-sponsored grants and industry-sponsored clinical studies, is director of a program project grant examining novel approaches in modulating G protein-coupled receptor function and is the principal investigator of the CTSA Hub entitled “New Jersey Alliance for Clinical and Translational Science.” He is the author of over 475 peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Panettieri manages the comprehensive clinical care of patients with asthma and is engaged in clinical investigations focused on the management of asthma and COPD.
John Cuthbertson, Ph.D., CFA, is Director of Research at Denali Advisors. He has 23 years of industry experience. Most recently, he was the Portfolio Manager in the Derivatives group at Analytic Investors in Los Angeles, where he was responsible for the Global Tactical Asset Allocation strategy. In 2004, Dr. Cuthbertson co-founded Ten Asset Management in Encinitas, California, where he had multiple roles, including Director of Research, Chief Compliance Officer and Portfolio Manager, as well as being extensively involved in client/prospect/consultant meetings and client communications. He began his investment career in 1996 with Investment Research Company — later Freeman Associates Investment Management — where he was a Vice President and Senior Research Analyst and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2000. Dr. Cuthbertson served on the board of directors for the CFA Society of San Diego from 2003 to 2012 and held the office of President for the year 2006/2007. Dr. Cuthbertson received a Ph.D. in astrophysical sciences from Princeton University in 1991, a B.S. in computer science from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and a B.A. in physics from William Jewell College, Missouri.
Jennifer K. DeSisto, CFA, CAIA, is the Chief Investment Officer and lead portfolio manager at Anchor Capital Advisors, a Boston-based investment management firm that currently manages $10 billion in assets. She has over 25 years of experience in the financial services sector, previously holding roles at Fiduciary Trust Company, Batterymarch Financial Management and Fleet Bank. She has been a loyal supporter of Perkins School for the Blind, serving as a Corporator since 2018 and as a member of several volunteer committees. She is a member of the Investment Committee for Perkins School for the Blind, the CFA Society Boston board, and the Newton Country Day School board. She volunteers as a mentor for the MIT Sandbox, the Boston Economic Club, and the Boston Club. She received a B.S. degree from Carnegie Mellon and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management.
Matt Parker, CFA, CPA, is Vice President and Portfolio Manager of Intrepid Capital. Mr. Parker joined Intrepid Capital in 2014. Mr. Parker is a co-lead portfolio manager of the Intrepid Endurance Fund and the separately managed Intrepid Endurance portfolio. He is also a member of the investment team responsible for the Intrepid Capital Fund, the Intrepid Disciplined Value Fund, and the separately managed Intrepid Balanced and Intrepid Disciplined Value portfolios. Mr. Parker focuses primarily on research and valuation of small-cap equity securities. A CFA charterholder, Mr. Parker received his Master of Accounting degree and a B.S. in business administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Joe Van Cavage, CFA, is Vice President and Portfolio Manager of Intrepid Capital. Mr. Van Cavage joined Intrepid Capital Management in 2018. He is a co-lead portfolio manager of the Intrepid Small Cap Fund and the separately managed Intrepid Small Cap portfolio. Mr. Van Cavage is also a member of the investment team responsible for the Intrepid Capital Fund and the separately managed Intrepid Balanced portfolio. He received a degree in civil engineering and an MBA from the University of Florida.
Lon Erickson, CFA, is Portfolio Manager and Managing Director for Thornburg Investment Management. He joined Thornburg in 2008 and was made Portfolio Manager in 2010. Mr. Erickson earned a B.A. in business administration with a minor in economics from Illinois Wesleyan University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is a CFA charterholder. Prior to joining Thornburg Investment Management, Mr. Erickson spent almost 11 years as an analyst for State Farm Insurance in the equity and corporate bond departments.
Masakazu Takeda, CFA, CMA, is a Portfolio Manager for SPARX Asset Management Co., Ltd., subadviser to the Hennessy Japan Fund, and he has managed the fund since 2006. Prior to joining SPARX in 1999, Mr. Takeda was employed by the Long Term Credit Bank of Japan — currently Shinsei Bank — and LTCB Warburg, now UBS Securities. Mr. Takeda received a B.S. in liberal arts from International Christian University, and he is a CFA charterholder and a chartered member of the Security Analysts Association of Japan.
