John P. Goetz is Managing Principal, Co-Chief Investment Officer, Portfolio Manager and member of the executive committee at Pzena Investment Management. Mr. Goetz is a co-portfolio manager for the Global, International, European, Emerging Markets and Japan Focused Value strategies. He also previously served as the Director of Research and was responsible for building and training the research team. Mr. Goetz became a member of the firm in 1996. Prior to joining Pzena Investment Management, Mr. Goetz held a range of key positions at Amoco Corporation, his last as the Global Business Manager for Amoco’s $1 billion polypropylene business where he had bottom-line responsibility for operations and development worldwide. Prior positions included strategic planning, joint venture investments and project financing in various oil and chemical businesses. Before joining Amoco, Mr. Goetz had been employed by The Northern Trust Company and Bank of America. He received a B.A. summa cum laude in mathematics and economics from Wheaton College and an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.
Kip Meadows is the Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Acting Chairman of The Nottingham Management Company, Inc. Mr. Meadows is the lead visionary and principal consultant, assisting clients with the formation of new funds and strategizing to improve the efficiencies of the foundations, endowments and government investment pools that the company serves. Mr. Meadows attended Haileybury College in England before attending Duke University, graduating with an A.B. in economics. He has remained active with Duke, serving for 22 years as chair of the eastern North Carolina chapter for Duke’s Alumni Admissions Advisory Committee, the Duke Alumni Association Board from 2003 to 2007, class major gifts chair in 1997 and class reunion chair in 2002, and an Iron Duke since 1984. Prior to founding Nottingham in 1986, Mr. Meadows co-founded Insured Benefit Design in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 1983, offering employee benefit and insurance sales and administration. In 1984, he joined broker/dealer Robinson Humphrey in the investment adviser screening and consulting group also in Raleigh. The Nottingham Company was founded in 1986 when Mr. Meadows became interested in how investment advisers wanted and needed an efficient way to pool their separately managed accounts together. He has been directing the growth and technological advancements of the company ever since. Mr. Meadows has been a finalist for the Northeastern Entrepreneurial Roundtable Entrepreneur of the Year three times, winning the Young Entrepreneur Award in 1988. In the community, he is extremely active, serving on many various boards and commissions in eastern North Carolina. As the recipient of the Eagle Scout award himself, he has served as Cubmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster and Scoutmaster at various times in the last 35 years. In his free time, his love of sailing keeps him out on the water, where he has won several East Coast and U.S. Season championships, and won a National Championship in the One Design 35 class in 1998. He has served as Class President in two different classes.
Matthew Watson is Assistant Vice President at James Investment Research, Inc. He graduated from Wright State University in 2007 and 2008, where he received degrees in accounting and finance and received his Master of Accountancy degree, respectively. He has also earned Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Public Accountant designations.
Randall M. Heck is Portfolio Manager and General Partner of Goodnow Investment Group. He joined Goodnow Investment Group to help manage Goodnow, Gray & Co., a hedge fund. Earlier, he was employed by Gabelli & Co. Mr. Heck graduated from McDaniel College and Columbia University School of Business.
James P. Schier, CFA, is a Senior Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Guggenheim Investments. He joined the predecessor firm, Security Investors LLC, in 1995. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Portfolio Manager for Mitchell Capital Management from 1993 to 1995. From 1988 to 1993, he served as Vice President and Portfolio Manager for Fourth Financial Corporation. Prior to 1988, Mr. Schier served in various positions in the investment field for Stifel Financial Corp., Josephthal & Company and Mercantile Trust Company. Mr. Schier earned a Bachelor of Business from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Washington University. He earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute.
Michael Cook is the Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of SouthernSun Asset Management. In his over 30 years of experience as a research analyst and portfolio manager, Mr. Cook has developed a unique investment philosophy and process, which serves as the core of the firm’s U.S. and global equity strategies. Throughout his career, he has been featured and quoted in The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s and Bloomberg Markets magazine and has been a speaker on CNBC, Fox Business News and Bloomberg TV. Mr. Cook attended Covenant College and the OCCA Business Programme, Wycliffe Hall, University of Oxford, and is a member of the CFA Institute.
Michael Brilley is the President and Senior Fixed Income Officer of Sit Fixed Income and oversees the operations and management of taxable and municipal strategies for custom separately managed accounts, private investment funds and mutual funds portfolios. He leads a team of fixed income portfolio managers and analysts. Mr. Brilley is also a Senior Vice President and Senior Fixed Income Officer for Sit Investment Associates. He joined Sit Investment Associates as the firm was establishing Sit Fixed Income Advisors in 1984 – adding taxable and municipal fixed income investment strategies to the firm’s growth equity strategies. With an extensive fixed income background and expertise, Mr. Brilley was instrumental in the growth of Sit Fixed Income Advisors, which today manages several billion dollars in fixed income securities across separately managed accounts, private investment funds and mutual funds. Immediately before joining Sit Investment Associates, Mr. Brilley spent nearly 10 years with First Bank Minneapolis where he was a Vice President and Senior Fixed Income Officer. His experience also includes seven years in the trust departments of Merchants National Bank of Indianapolis and the Continental Illinois National Bank of Chicago. Mr. Billey earned a B.S. degree in business administration from Millikin University in 1967.
Tyler W. Alvord, CFA, is an Analyst and Associate Portfolio Manager at LVM Capital Management LTD. Mr. Alvord is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds his BBA in finance and MBA from Western Michigan University.
Jamie Cuellar, CFA, Co-Portfolio Manager, joined Kornitzer Capital Management in 2015 and has 26 years of professional investment experience. At the Buffalo Funds, he works with equity portfolios, and his focus areas include technology and consumer. From 2012 to 2014, he worked at Northern Trust as a Senior Portfolio Manager. From 2000 to 2012, he worked at PineBridge Investments/Brazos Capital/John McStay Investment Counsel as Managing Director and Portfolio Manager. From 1995 to 1999, he worked at Lee Financial Corp as an Investment Analyst. He received a degree from the University of San Diego and an MBA in finance from Southern Methodist University.

The Portfolio Manager for the Galileo High Income Plus Fund and the Galileo Growth and Income Fund, he is among Canada’s most experienced small- and mid-cap equities portfolio managers. Before founding Galileo in 2000, Mr. Waring was Vice President, Director and Portfolio Manager for KBSH Capital Management Inc. from 1985 to 1999. He is a CFA charterholder and member of the Toronto CFA Society, and holds an MBA from the University of Western Ontario. A committed philanthropist, Mr. Waring founded Kids In Class, a registered charity that builds schools and provides financial support to children and their families in developing countries. The charity’s current area of focus is in Vietnam, and Mr. Waring frequently travels to rural areas in that country to personally oversee the charity’s projects.
