W. ALAN McCOLLOUGH is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of
Circuit City. Mr. McCollough is a Director and a member of the company's
executive committee. He joined the company in 1987 as General Manager of
Corporate Operations. He was elected Assistant Vice President in 1989,
Vice President and Central Division President in 1991, Senior Vice
President ' Merchandising in 1994, President and Chief Operating Officer
in 1997, Chief Executive Officer in June 2000 and Chairman of the Board
