Tobacco Regulation & Legislation Issues : Mary Aronson – Aronson Washington Research

MARY ARONSON is founder and sole proprietor of a small research firm providing time-sensitive products' liability and Washington policy analysis of tobacco, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and other issues to analysts of institutional investment firms and Wall Street brokerage houses. She started her Wall Street career in 1983 as a Washington policy analyst for Drexel Burnham Lambert's subsidiary, The Washington Forum. There she began as health care and pharmaceutical analyst, but assumed the responsibility for analysis of products liability litigation and tobacco issues. When the Forum closed in 1989, she opened Aronson Washington Research continuing her analysis of public policy and products liability litigation in tobacco and medical devices for the institutional investment community. Before coming to Wall Street, she worked as a registered nurse in various settings, as a health care staffer for two U.S. Senate committees (Labor and Human Resources and Appropriations), as a health lobbyist for the American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees, and as an executive assistant to the president of a small urban hospital. Ms. Aronson received her nursing diploma from Bellevue Hospital, her Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Goucher College, her Master's in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University, and her law degree from The American University. She has appeared frequently as a commentator on tobacco litigation and policy on CBNC, Bloomberg, CNN, The Nightly Business Report, Good Morning America and Court TV. Profile
