Steven Haack – Wgnb Corporation (wgnb)

STEVEN J. HAACK is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of West Georgia National Bank and Secretary/Treasurer of WGNB Corp., the holding company for West Georgia National Bank. He has been employed by the bank as its Chief Financial Officer since January 1995 and has served as Secretary/Treasurer of the company since 1998. Mr. Haack holds a BBA in Accounting from Iowa State University from which he graduated in 1982. Mr. Haack has held senior management positions in banking since 1989. Prior to his banking career, he practiced as a Certified Public Accountant in Atlanta. His focus in public accounting was on real estate syndication, public companies and financial institutions. Mr. Haack is active in the community. He is a Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Carroll County Water Authority and serves on its Finance Committee. He is also the Chief Financial Officer and on the Executive Committee of Youth Connections Youth Services, Inc., which does business as Live Oak Crisis Shelter.
