Roundtable Forum: Human Capital Management

RANDALL A. MEHL is a Director and Senior Analyst in the Equity Research department at Robert W. Baird & Company. Mr. Mehl also is on the investment board of Baird Venture Partners, the company's venture fund. He has been a featured speaker at numerous HR-related industry events and has addressed executive teams at various companies in the sector. Prior to joining Baird, Mr. Mehl was a Senior Consultant at Andersen Consulting. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the AIMR and the Milwaukee Analysts Society. Mr. Mehl holds an MBA, with honors, from the University of Chicago and a BS from Bowling Green State University. He enjoys various water sports, running, and spending time with his three daughters. Mark W. Allen is a Managing Director in the Equity Research Department at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey Capital Markets in Atlanta, Georgia. His area of research coverage is business and technology services, primarily human capital management. He has been in the investment business for 15 years and prior to that worked as a software development project manager for the Georgia Tech Research Institute. He graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering in 1983 and a Master's degree in Management and Finance in 1987. BRANDT SAKAKEENY, Director, is a member of Deutsche Bank Securities' Equity Research Department, covering the business services industry. His area of focus includes labor and human resources, consulting and professional services, and transactional and payroll processing. He was named to the Third Team of Institutional Investor magazine's 2001 All American Research Team. He also received the number two ranking in his category by Reuters. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank in May 2000, he was the Senior Business Services Analyst at Salomon Smith Barney and was ranked number one in his category in Greenwich's 2000 survey of research franchises. Prior to assuming coverage of business services in June 1999, he was a leading member of Salomon's Educational Services Team that achieved a number two ranking in the Institutional Investor poll in 1998. He joined Salomon Smith Barney in 1995 following a position as Research Associate at Schroeder Wertheim, where he supported the number one ranked lodging analyst. ADAM WALDO is a Senior Vice President covering North American Business & Profes-sional Services companies for Lehman Brothers. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, he was the North American Business & Professional Ser- vices Analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston and Morgan Stanley and had been a consultant in the consumer marketing and customer retention practice groups at Bain & Company. Mr. Waldo received his MBA in Finance and Marketing from Northwestern University's J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and his BA in Political Science from the University of Michigan. Profile
