DEBORAH WRIGHT – CARVER BANCORP INC (CNY)

WILLIAM C. GRAY has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Carver Bancorp since January 2001. Prior to that, Mr. Gray served as Dime Savings Bank of New York's Vice President/Director of Business Unit Planning and Support in the Corporate Controller's Department. At Dime, Mr. Gray was responsible for identifying and evaluating strategic initiatives for the Consumer Financial Services, Business Banking, Commercial Real Estate and Consumer Lending businesses. He managed all aspects of budgeting, reporting, financial planning and control, and accounting for these businesses and was responsible for developing and presenting financial and operational performance reports. Previously, he served as Vice President/Director of Financial and Management Information Systems for Dime's Consumer Financial Services Division. He began his tenure at Dime as Vice President/Corporate Profitability Manager in the Corporate Controller's Department. Before joining Dime, Mr. Gray was Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and a Director of State Savings, F.A. of Great Neck, NY from 1989 until 1992. Mr. Gray began his career in 1975 at Richmond Hill Savings Bank of Floral Park, NY where he served in a number of financial and marketing capacities and rose to Vice President and Controller. DEBORAH C. WRIGHT is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of Carver Bancorp, Inc. Carver is the holding company for Carver Federal Savings Bank, a federally chartered savings bank and the nation's largest publicly traded African- and Caribbean- American operated bank, with $521.9 million in assets and 110 employees. Carver operates five full service branches in the New York City boroughs of Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan. Prior to assuming her current position, Ms. Wright was President and CEO of the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone Development Corporation, a position she held since May 1996. She previously served as Commissioner of the Department of Housing Preservation and Development under Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani from January 1994 through March 1996. Prior to that appointment, Ms. Wright was named by Mayor David N. Dinkins to the New York City Housing Authority Board, which manages New York City's 189,000 public housing units. She is a member of the Board of Overseers of Harvard University and serves on the Boards of Kraft Foods, Inc., the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation, The New York City Partnership, Inc., and the Ministers and Missionaries Benefit Board of the American Baptist Churches.
