Robert L. Schumacher

ROBERT L. SCHUMACHER is Chief Financial Officer of First Community
Bancshares, Inc. He has 21 years in bank management. He has been Senior
Vice President-Finance Division with First Community Bank, NA since
April 16, 2002. Previously, he was Senior Trust Officer of First
Community Bank from October 9, 1965 to August 31, 2000; Chief Executive
Officer of First Community Bank from July 17, 1995 to October 8, 1995
and Assistant CEO from April 1, 1995 to July 16, 1995; Vice
President/Senior Trust Officer from July 1, 1993 to March 31, 1995;
Trust Administrative Officer from January 1, 1991 to June 30, 1993 and
Vice President and Senior Trust Officer from October 1, 1985 to December
31, 1990 and Trust Officer from September 1, 1983 to September 30, 1985.
Mr. Schumacher was a practicing attorney from 1976 to 1983. He has a
Doctor of Jurisprudence from West Virginia University College of Law and
a BS in Business Administration from Morris Harvey College. Mr.
Schumacher is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Trust and
Financial Advisor and a Certified Financial Planner.
