Mark Dugdale

MARK DUGDALE, is Chief Executive Officer of Flying Brands Limited.
Dugdale has a Master’s Degree in Modern History from Magdalen College,
Oxford. He has spent his entire career to date involved with direct
marketing or multi channel retailing organisations, starting at The
Reader’s Digest Association’s London offices where he was involved in
marketing music products and developing new businesses including
insurance, financial services, a publishers’ clearing house type concept
and a merchandise catalogue. At the age of 30 he was appointed Managing
Director collectable business acquired by Stanhome/Enesco, for whom he
built profitable businesses in the UK, France and Germany. Following a
short spell developing a small CD ROM and Internet business, he joined
the Innovations Group plc, a UK multi brand catalogue business, as
Marketing Director, where he assisted with the successful sale of that
business to the Burton Group plc (a FTSE100 company) in 1996. He oversaw
the introduction of the Burton brands into multi channel retailing and
became Managing Director of Dial Home Shopping (Burton’s catalogue and
Internet division) in 1998. Following the sale of the business to retail
entrepreneur Philip Green in 2002, he joined Flying Brands, a publicly
quoted multi brand home shopping company, as Chief Executive. Since he
joined, the value of the business has increased by 75%. He is married
with 2 daughters and lives south of London; his interests include
history, music, cricket and tennis.
