James Nicholson

JAMES NICHOLSON is the Founder and CEO of Cortek, Inc. He has an
impressive track record in the medical device industry as the founder of
several medical device start-up companies such as Mitek Surgical and
Innovasive Devices and as the inventor of numerous medical products,
including the Mitek anchor and Venodyne Intermittent Compression device.
He led both Mitek and Innovasive through successful IPO’s. In 1994,
Mitek was acquired by J&J’s Ethicon division for $128 million. Mr.
Nicholson’s ability to develop innovative solutions for large, unmet
market needs is a key element of his success. Cortek is his sixth
venture.
