Edward L. Lundstrom

EDWARD L. LUNDSTROM is President and CEO of Sheldahl. He joined Sheldahl
as Corporate Tax Manager in 1976 and has held positions of increasing
responsibility in business, operations management, sales and marketing,
and executive management. They include Corporate Controller; Vice
President and Treasurer; President of the Sheldahl subsidiary Symbolic
Displays, Inc. (SDI); Vice President, General Manager of the Northfield
Circuit Division, Vice President Sales and Marketing and Executive Vice
President. In January 1989, Mr. Lundstrom was named to Vice President of
Sales and Marketing. In this position he managed the sales force through
the Company’s technical centers, directed all marketing efforts, and
provided leadership for research, development, and product design. Under
his leadership, the automotive market was targeted in 1988. He
implemented the strategy beginning in 1989 by creating the Detroit
Technical Center staffed with account managers, engineers and designers.
This effort is largely responsible for the dramatic growth in
automotive. Mr. Lundstrom was named Executive Vice President, September
1995. In this capacity his responsibility includes corporate marketing;
core process redesign; information systems; and new business
development, with an emphasis on international opportunities. In this
capacity he led the effort to create a joint venture in China, Jinjiang
Flex between Sheldahl, Wah Hing Holdings of Hong Kong and Jingxi
Chemical of the PRC. Ed serves as Vice Chairman of the Joint Venture. He
has extensive involvement in Sheldahl’s globalization effort ‘ China and
Europe. Mr. Lundstrom was named President, in September 1997 and CEO in
January 1999. He has served as a member of the Ford Supplier Council, a
group of executives representing 13 of the largest and most important
strategic suppliers to Ford Electronics Division. Mr. Lundstrom has
published a Venture Magazine article. Mr. Lundstrom has been a guest
speaker at the World Trade Institute and the U.S. Department of Commerce
on China. He holds a B.A. Degree in Accounting from the University of
Minnesota and is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Lundstrom is
graduate of the Minnesota Management Institute. He has attended the
Senior Executive Management and Executive Leadership programs at MIT,
the Wharton School and University of Minnesota.
