Anne De Gheest – Medpool.com

ANNE DE GHEEST has over 20 years of experience developing and building successful healthcare businesses. She founded medpool.com while an entrepreneur in residence at Institutional Venture Partners (IVP). Before founding medpool.com, Ms. De Gheest started and ran MedStars, an investment and executive management firm dedicated to starting new healthcare companies. She was also involved in the success and startup of three well-known medical companies. From 1993-97, Ms. De Gheest was the founding Vice President of Marketing at Omnicell Technologies, a market leader in automated point-of-use management systems for medical supplies. In 1998, Omnicell was named the fastest growing high tech company in Silicon Valley and the third fastest in the US by Deloitte & Touch. Ms. De Gheest was instrumental in the turnaround of Pyxis, which created and then dominated a new market segment in automated hospital drug dispensing. Cardinal Health purchased Pyxis in 1996 for one billion dollars. As a marketing director for Nellcor, Ms. De Gheest started the pulse oximetry revolution. Nellcor was sold to Malinckrodt for 1.9 billion dollars in 1996.
