ANNE DE GHEEST has over 20 years of experience developing and building
successful healthcare businesses. She founded medpool.com while an
entrepreneur in residence at Institutional Venture Partners (IVP).
Before founding medpool.com, Ms. De Gheest started and ran MedStars, an
investment and executive management firm dedicated to starting new
healthcare companies. She was also involved in the success and startup
of three well-known medical companies. From 1993-97, Ms. De Gheest was
the founding Vice President of Marketing at Omnicell Technologies, a
market leader in automated point-of-use management systems for medical
supplies. In 1998, Omnicell was named the fastest growing high tech
company in Silicon Valley and the third fastest in the US by Deloitte &
Touch. Ms. De Gheest was instrumental in the turnaround of Pyxis, which
created and then dominated a new market segment in automated hospital
drug dispensing. Cardinal Health purchased Pyxis in 1996 for one
billion dollars. As a marketing director for Nellcor, Ms. De Gheest
started the pulse oximetry revolution. Nellcor was sold to Malinckrodt
for 1.9 billion dollars in 1996. Anne holds a Masters degree in
Business Engineering from the University of Brussels, Belgium, and a
maters degree in Business Administration from Harvard University.
