Barry Pierpoint – Leicester City Plc (lcc.l)

BARRY JAMES PIERPOINT has been Group Chief Executive of Leicester City Plc since April 1991. From June 1994 to October 1997, he was Managing Director of Leicester City Football Club, a new position created for him where he was responsible for the effective day to day management, continuous development and profitability of the Club with an annual income stream of GBP 16 million and expenditure of GBP 13 million. Previously, he was the Director of Marketing, responsible for producing and implementing a five year plan to raise the profile of the club both locally and nationally as well as taking full advantage of all opportunities for maximising profits generated by new and existing activities. From October 1988 to April 1991, Mr Pierpoint was Divisional Managing Director at Sewells International Limited, a management consultancy to the Motor Industry. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, the Institute of Administrative Management, and the Institute of Directors, and he is a fellow of the Institute of Sales & Marketing Management.
