MAGED S. SHENOUDA has beena Vice President in the Equity Research Division of J.P. Morgan Securities, since 2000. He analyzes the fundamentals of the biotechnology industry, with a focus on mid- capitalization companies. From 1999 to 2000 he was a Vice President in the Equity Research Division of Bear Stearns. From 1996 to 1999, he was an Associate in the Equity Research Division of Salomon Smith Barney. From 1994 to 1996 he was a Consultant in the Pharmaceutical Consulting Practice of Price Waterhouse. From 1992 to 1994 he was a Managed Care Specialist in the Pharmaceutical Products division of Abbott Laboratories. Mr. Shenouda has a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from St. John's University. FRANK DiLORENZO is an Investment Officer with Standard & Poor's U.S. Equity Research Division. He is S&P's Biotechnology Analyst and is responsible for the equity research of the biotechnology industry and the life science instrument sector. Mr. DiLorenzo authors research reports, company notes and a bi-annual survey on the biotech sector. He has been featured in a number of media sources. He joined the S&P team in May 1999 and has been covering biotech issues since the summer of 1999. He holds an MBA from Rutgers Graduate School of management, as well as an undergraduate degree in Management from Rutgers. He is also a registered representative of S&P Securities. there and how that relates to funding and finance in the biotech

Mr. Shenouda: I cover the mid-cap biotech
