WILLIAM G. MUSTAIN joined Comdial Corporation as Vice President of
Operations in June of 1987. He was elected President and Chief Executive
Officer of Comdial Corporation in May, 1989. Mr. Mustain grew up on a
farm in Illinois. He attended Bradley University on a National Merit
Scholarship, graduating in 1964 with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
After graduation, Mr. Mustain joined the mobile radio business of
General Electric in Lynchburg, Virginia, as a Product Design Engineer.
In 1977, he was named Manager of Engineering and Manufacturing for GE's
Data Communications Business in Waynesboro, Virginia. Mr. Mustain left
General Electric in 1983 to become Senior Vice President of Operations
at Norand Corporation of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Profile
