Wesley Davidson – Alberto-culver Co (acva)

WESLEY C. DAVIDSON is Vice President, Corporate Development and Investor Relations, for the Alberto-Culver Company. Mr. Davidson graduated from Kettering University in 1970 and Indiana University in 1972 and began his professional life with Stone & Webster Management Consultants, Inc. in New York. Following this, Mr. Davidson was Director, Corporate Development/ Research and Development, among other positions over a 15- year career with AMAX Inc., a $4 billion aluminum and energy company. Mr. Davidson joined the Troy-Bilt Corporation and led the company in its acquisition of Stairmaster Sports Medical Products Company, before moving to Chicago in 1996 with the Alberto-Culver Company as Vice President, Corporate Development. He was promoted to Vice President, Corporate Development and Investor Relations in 2000. Mr. Davidson spearheaded the company's acquisitions in Chile, Argentina and Poland, as well as its acquisition of the Pro-Line Corporation. competitive landscape?

Mr. Davidson: The company was established in 1955 and went public in

1961, and it's grown over
