Tom Higgins Interactive Enterprise Ltd

TOM HIGGINS, CEO, founded Interactive Enterprise Ltd. in early 1998 with a mission to develop service enabling OSS software platforms for the global broadband market. He began in the cable industry in 1981 at Marlin Communal Aerials, an Irish cable operator owned by Rogers Cablesystems, and which was later acquired by NTL. With responsibility for OSS, multi-media, and advanced services, he led a number of European-wide cable and wireless initiatives, such as interactive distance learning via TV, cable telephony, high-speed Internet and wireless field customer support over GSM. While recognizing the potential for advanced multiple services over cable, he believed that the back office support systems would have an enormous impact on the operator's ability to rapidly launch services in the future.
