TIM W. FAITHFULL was elected President and Chief Executive Officer of
Shell Canada Limited in April 1999. He holds an MA degree from the
University of Oxford, United Kingdom, taking his degree in Philosophy,
Politics and Economics. Mr. Faithfull joined Shell International
Petroleum Company Limited (SIPC) in London in 1967 in marketing. Between
1968 and 1989 he held appointments of increasing responsibility, mainly
within oil products and natural gas in the United Kingdom, France, Laos,
Cyprus and Kenya. In 1989 he became Area Coordinator for SIPC in the
Caribbean, Central America, and Mexico. He assumed the position of Vice
President, Crude Oil Trading, Shell International Trading & Shipping
Company Limited (STASCO), based in London, in 1993. He was named
Chairman and Chief Executive of the Shell Companies in Singapore in June
1996. Mr. Faithfull is married with a daughter and two sons. Profile
