THOMAS KERR is an equity research analyst and portfolio manager for
Reed, Conner & Birdwell in Los Angeles, an investment advisory firm
founded in 1959. He handles a number of taxable clients, assists on the
management of a small-cap value portfolio, and also has research duties
covering a variety of different industries. Mr. Kerr received a B.B.A.
in Finance from Texas Tech University and is a Level III Chartered
Financial Analyst candidate. He was previously employed in various
financial analysis positions at Fuji Bank and GE Capital. Mr. Kerr is
also a contributing writer to several on-line financial publications and
is an investor in several local business projects in Manhattan Beach, a
suburb of Los Angeles where he resides. Mr. Kerr's non investment
pursuits include participation in numerous outdoor sports including snow
skiing, mountain biking, beach volleyball and golf. He is also actively
