T.KENT SMITH – TEAMSTAFF INC (TSTF)

T. KENT SMITH is the President and Chief Executive Officer of TeamStaff, Inc., a public micro-cap focused the healthcare staffing industry. Mr. Smith joined TeamStaff in June, 2003, designated to turn around what was then a business services outsourcing conglomerate. Prior to joining TeamStaff, Inc., Mr. Smith was the President of The HoneyBaked Ham Company and CEO of the Heavenly Ham Company from 1998 to 2003. During his tenure he reinvigorated a dormant brand and stagnant company to eventually double in size, and return the company to profitability. Mr. Smith's previous staffing experience included 11 years at Norrell Corporation, a $1.4 billion commercial staffing firm now merged with Interim to form Spherion. He was a member of the senior executive team that grew the company from $300 million to $1.4 billion, including taking it public in 1994. He held a variety of roles, including Director of Finance, Franchise Division; Vice President of Finance and Strategic Planning; Vice President of Service Operations; CIO; and Senior Vice President of Service Operations for the 350 branches and 450 client sites. Mr. Smith earned his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and his MBA from The University of Virginia. Mr. Smith is currently on the Board of The University of Virginia Nursing School, and is current President of the Druid Hills Golf Club.
