STEVE C. KNEPPER is a co-Founder of Universal Security
Instruments, Inc. and a Director since 1970. He served as
Chairman of Universal from 1970-1996 and Vice Chairman of the
Board since 1996. On October 23, 2001, Mr. Knepper was elected as
Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. He has been a
key member of the company's management team since inception and,
since his reelection as Chairman, has refocused the company on

Mr. Knepper: The company was founded in 1969 for the purpose of
manufacturing high quality fire and
