Stephen Ko – Best Pacific Resources Ltd (bpg.to)

STEPHEN C.M. KO is President and CEO of Best Pacific Resources Ltd. Mr. Ko founded Best Pacific Resources in 1992. He is a reservoir engineer with more than 26 years of experience in a variety of countries, including Venezuela, Peru, China, France, Indonesia, the United States and Libya. He also has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry in western Canada, where he worked for Shell Canada Limited, Ultramar Oil and Gas Canada Limited, Scientific Software Intercomp and Computer Modeling Group. Mr. Ko is an acknowledged pioneer in the application of horizontal drilling and enhanced oil recovery techniques and, while at Ultramar Oil and Gas Canada Limited, managed a professional group responsible for economic evaluation, development and management of oil and gas fields in Western Canada. He obtained his BSc and MSc degrees from the University of Calgary, and won the Gold Medal of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta. He has written 19 technical papers based on his practical field experience and is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta, the Petroleum Society of CIM and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
