STEPHEN J. BYRNE is Chief Executive Officer of Vestin Mortgage,
Inc., a subsidiary of Vestin Group, Inc. He joined Vestin as
Senior Lending Officer in June 1998. Mr. Byrne has 22 years of
banking and commercial lending experience. He has extensive
problem loan resolution experience in Texas and Nevada. Mr. Byrne
has managed a portfolio of $250 million in problem loans with a
team of five lenders and three support staff. He syndicated or
underwrote approximately $1.5 billion in gaming industry credit
facilities. Mr. Byrne started own licensed mortgage and closed
over $10 million in privately funded loans in the first year.
Prior to joining Vestin he was President of CapSource, Inc., Las
Vegas, Nevada, from February 1997 to June 1998; Vice President of
the Gaming Industry Division, Wells Fargo Bank, Las Vegas, Nevada
from October 1991 to February 1997; Division Manager for
Diversified Asset Group, First Interstate Bank of Nevada, Las
Vegas, from January 1991 to October 1991; Vice President and Team
Leader, DAG-Houston Commercial Division, First Interstate Bank of
Texas, N.A., Houston, Texas from July 1987 to December 1990;
Assistant Vice President, Allied Bancshares, Houston, Texas, from
June 1983 to June 1987 and Internal Auditor, Allied Bancshares,
Houston, Texas from June 1980 to June 1983. He has a BA degree in
Business Administration and Economics from Hastings College,
