STANLEY N. LAPIDUS founded EXACT Laboratories, Inc. in 1995 and has been
Chief Executive Officer and a Director of the company since inception.
In 1987 he founded Cytyc Corporation, which manufactures a device that
significantly improves the quality of Pap smears. In 1982, Mr. Lapidus
co-founded Itran Corporation, a manufacturer of industrial machine
vision products. Mr. Lapidus has received 15 US patents and has 14
patent applications pending. Mr. Lapidus is also an Assistant Research
Professor in the pathology department of Tufts University Medical School
in Boston. He serves on advisory boards to the Harvard School of Public
Health's Center for Cancer Prevention, the Cooper Union School of
Engineering, and Harvard-MIT Program in Health Sciences and Technology.
Mr. Lapidus graduated from Cooper Union in 1970 with a BS degree in
