RODERICK DILLON – DIAMOND HILL GROUP INC (DHIL)

RODERICK H. DILLON is President and Chief Investment Officer of Diamond Hill Group, Inc. He is responsible for leading Diamond Hill's management team and co-manages the Diamond Hill Small Cap Fund and the Diamond Hill Focus Fund. He also co-manages Diamond Hill Investment Partners, LP, a private investment partnership. Prior to joining Diamond Hill, Mr. Dillon was Managing Partner, Strategic Equity Management at Loomis, Sayles & Company. From 1993 to 1997, he was President and Chief Investment Officer of Dillon Capital Management, which was acquired by Loomis, Sayles in 1997. In 1996, he started the Capitol Square Funds mutual fund family, including large cap, small cap and bond funds. From 1986 to 1993 he was Vice President and Portfolio Manager in the Detroit regional office of Loomis, Sayles & Company and was co-architect of the large cap value product in 1986. He led the firm's effort back into the mutual fund business in 1990, starting the small cap value product in 1991. He was Portfolio Manager of the Loomis, Sayles Small Cap Value Fund, which ranked number one in its category for its first year 1991 to May 1992). He was a member of the firm's Equity Policy and Business Development committees from 1991 to 1993. From 1982 to1985 Mr. Dillon was a Principal at Parker, Dillon, Carlson and Johnson, a startup investment advisory firm. He started two mutual funds ' the Performance Fund (equity) and the Preservation Fund (fixed income) ' in 1983 and 1984 respectively. Mr. Dillon was a Portfolio Manager at Winters National Bank from 1980 to 1982 and an Investment Analyst for the Public Employees Retirement System from 1977 to 1980. He has BS and MA degrees in Business Administration (major in Finance) from the Ohio State University, an MBA from the University of Dayton and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
