Robert Gasparini – Neogenomics Inc (ngnm)

ROBERT GASPARINI has been President and Chief Scientific Officer of NeoGenomics, Inc., since January 2005. Previously, in 2004, he was a consultant to the genetics community, helping develop or build five laboratories in the United States. Prior to that, he was Director of Genetics at US Labs in Irvine, California, starting the company's Genetics Division and developing it to the sixth largest program in the United States. Before that, from 1998 to 2001, he was Manager of Worldwide and Strategic Marketing at Ventana Medical Systems. Mr. Gasparini was Assistant Director of the Prenatal Diagnostic Center in Lexington, Massachusetts, from 1993 to 1997, Technical Director of Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts, from 1989 to 1993, Assistant Professor at the University of Connecticut from 1985 to 1990, a part-time Instructor at the University of Connecticut from 1982 to 1985 and a Technologist and Supervisor at the University of Connecticut from 1978 to 1985. He is past President of the Association of Genetic Technologists (AGT), has published 14 peer-reviewed articles and 30 peer-reviewed abstracts and has received 14 awards including the AGT Lifetime Achievement Award in 1999.
