ROBERT FUNARI is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of
Syncor International. Mr. Funari led the Company through a financial
turnaround in 1994 and 1995. Over the past three years, Syncor's net
earnings have grown five fold with a 300% increase in shareholder value.
Prior to joining Syncor, Mr. Funari had a seventeen-year career with
Baxter International where he developed a strong reputation for
providing leadership in a series of challenging assignments. Mr.
Funari's executive positions within Baxter included the position of
Corporate Vice President and President of the Pharmaseal Division;
President of the Paramax Systems Division; President, Medcom, Inc.; and
Vice President, Corporate Materials Management. Mr. Funari holds a BS in
Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard
University. He is a director of Bay Cities National Bank and Community
