RICK CLUCAS is Chief Executive Officer of Ignios Limited. He has been
involved in the business of technology since 1985. During this time he
has held senior industry positions as an entrepreneur, technologist,
non-executive director, investor and executive manager. Mr. Clucas was a
founder of ARC International Plc. He led the team that created this
spin-off from Argonaut Software, an entertainment media company of which
he was the first employee and director. ARC developed and commercialised
the industry's first configurable processor intellectual property At
ARC, he was responsible for setting the overall technical direction, the
development of the IP licensing model, and directing worldwide sales and
marketing activity. His ability to identify and exploit new technologies
and markets was key in enabling ARC to achieve a 10 million turnover
within two years of spin-out. Mr. Clucas was actively involved in
securing venture finance for the company. ARC realised a successful
public offering in September 2000. More recently, he has been involved
in financing and advising technology start-up companies. As Chief
Technology Officer with investment bank Beeson Gregory Ltd., he was
involved in evaluating opportunities, making investment decisions and,
as a board director to several client companies, providing on-going
guidance and leadership. Immediately before taking on the CEO role at
Ignios, he was providing independent business consultancy to technology
start-ups. Mr. Clucas extensive commercial experience spans both the
software and hardware domains. His profile within the industry extends
throughout the US, Europe, Asia and Japan. Profile
