Richard T. Para – Preferred Technology Inc

RICHARD T. PARA is Senior Market Analyst at Preferred Technology, Inc. After attending Engineering school and serving in the Military, Richard joined the family business in 1957, where his responsibilities were office management and sales. In 1962 he became a partner in the formation and operation of a paper cup manufacturing company, which was later sold in 1965. In 1965, he joined Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner and Smith as an Account Executive. During his career with Merrill Lynch, besides the handling of retail and institutional clients, other areas of responsibility included acting as bond coordinator and retail equity coordinator. Technical analysis of stocks and the stock market was done within the local office environment. After leaving Merrill Lynch in 1990, he traded the Standard and Poors 500 Futures and later became a Commodity Trading Advisor, specializing in financial futures trading. In 1994, he formulated and wrote a stock market investment training course; and, in 1995, he joined Preferred Technology, Inc. as their Senior Market Analyst, writing a weekly market report and daily market reports on the Preferred Technology Internet web site. Richard has been a family man since 1961. His wife of 36 years, Joyce, is a licensed secondary teacher. They have two children: Pamela, a Registered Nurse and Healthcare Consultant; Daniel, a Physician and General Surgeon; and a six-weeks old granddaughter, Maya Joy. Profile
