Richard P. Anderson – Andersons Inc

RICHARD P. ANDERSON is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Andersons, Inc. (Nasdaq: ANDE), a diversified agribusiness and retailing company with annual revenues of more than $1 billion. Mr. Anderson has been with the company since his father, Harold, founded it in 1947. Starting as a crew boss on construction of the first elevator in Maumee, Ohio, Mr. Anderson worked his way up through the company and was named President and Chief Executive Officer in 1986. In 1996, he was named to his present position. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Centerior Energy Corporation and ChemFirst Inc., Jackson, MS. Also active in community and civic affairs, Mr. Anderson currently serves on the boards of the Toledo Symphony, the Public Broadcasting Foundation of Northwest Ohio, The Toledo Museum of Art, and the University of Toledo Foundation. Numerous honors include being named Pacemaker of the Year in 1989 by the University of Toledo School of Business Administration. Mr. Anderson earned a bachelor's degree in agriculture from Michigan State University in 1953. He and his wife Fran have six children and 19 grandchildren and live in Maumee. Profile
