RICHARD A. EDLIN is co-Chairman of the Biotechnology Practice and is a
Shareholder in the Corporate & Securities Department of Greenberg
Traurig's New York Office. He focuses his practice on the representation
of various companies, predominately in the biotechnology sector, in
connection with all aspects of corporate and venture capital matters. He
is a Member, Judiciary Committee of the Federation Internationale du
Sport Universitaire; Bar Association of the City of New York; Lecturer
to the New York City High School for Leadership and Public Service's
program on Sexual Harassment; Member, Board of Directors, Youth
Education Through Sports, Inc.; Member, Board of Directors, Firebrand
Financial Group, Inc. Mr. Edlin is the author of numerous articles and
publications. He was a Law Clerk for the Honorable Lee P. Gagliardi, US
District Court, Southern District of NY, 1985-1986. Mr. Edlin received
his JD, Columbia University School of Law, 1985 and a BA, Magna Cum
Laude, History, Tufts University, 1982 and was the winner of the 1982
New Jersey State Rhodes Scholarship Competition. He was also a Harlan
Fiske Stone Scholar, Teaching Fellow (Contracts and Property) and Notes
and Comments Editor, Columbia Journal of Environmental Law. He is
admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey and numerous federal
