Richard S. Barton, President and Chief Executive Officer, founded
Adatom.com in September 1996. During the onset of the digital age, Mr.
Barton envisioned the creation of a true one-stop shopping emporium
using the Internet as a medium to link suppliers directly to end
customers. After two short years of technology development,
www.Adatom.com was launched to deliver this vision. Mr. Barton has 24
years of marketing, sales and general management experience. He
successfully ran the $1.3 billion Canadian subsidiary and the $8.0
billion U.S. Customer Operations Division of Xerox Corporation. Mr.
Barton also currently serves on the Board of Directors of Adatom.com,
Inc., Avon Products, Inc. and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Barton
holds a Master's degree in Business Management from Stanford University
of Palo Alto, California. He has also completed the Wharton
International Forum's China, Japan, Europe, and United States segments
