RICHARD BARNES, Group Finance Director for Waterford Wedgwood Plc is
also a Main Board Director of Waterford Wedgwood Plc and a Director of
WW UK Plc. He joined the Company as Finance Director, Wedgwood Division
in 1988, having spent the previous 20 years in financial management with
Ford Motor Company, latterly as Finance Director, Ford of Spain. He
joined the Board of Waterford Wedgwood UK Plc as Managing Director,
Wedgwood Division, in 1989 and was appointed Director of Finance and
Logistics, Waterford Wedgwood UK in October 1991. In December 1991, he
took on the additional responsibilities of Acting Chief Financial
Officer for the Group, an appointment which was confirmed in May 1992.
He was appointed to his present role and to the Main Board of Waterford
Wedgwood Plc in October 1993. He is also a Member of the Supervisory
Board of Rosenthal AG, the German porcelain manufacturer in which
Waterford Wedgwood Plc holds in excess of 85%. He is also a Governor of
St Joseph's College, Stoke-on-Trent. On 15 December 1998, he was
appointed a Board Member of West Midlands Regional Development Agency by
