RANSOM H. LOVE is President and CEO Caldera Systems, Inc. As President
and CEO of Caldera Systems, Inc., Mr. Love is responsible for the
company's strategic direction and planning. He oversees all aspects of
the company including engineering, support, marketing, sales, accounting
and operations. Before creating Caldera Systems, Inc. and assuming his
current position, he co-founded and held many positions in Caldera,
Inc., orchestrating many of Caldera's most significant third-party
relationships. Mr. Love's leadership extends beyond Caldera to the Linux
industry. In December 1999, Linux Magazine listed him as one of the '50
Linux People to Watch.' In March 2000, Upside Magazine listed Caldera
Systems as one of the 'Millennium 2000 eBusiness 150.' Mr. Love is in
great demand as a keynote speaker representing the Linux industry. He
has addressed Fall and Spring Comdex attendees in the past year and will
share his vision for Linux at several other computer trade shows in
2000. Mr. Love has 17 years of experience working in the high-technology
industry. Prior to his position at Caldera, he was Senior Product
Manager at Novell, Inc. where he worked with NetWare for UNIX, Processor
Independent NetWare, Corsair and other advanced research projects. At
Novell, Mr. Love also negotiated and maintained partnership agreements
with Hewlett-Packard, Digital, SUN, Apple, IBM and many other leading
technology companies. Mr. Love began his technology career with CPT of
Houston, a dealer of dedicated word processors. He then headed CPT
offices in Fairbanks, Alaska and Salt Lake City, Utah as Manager over
sales and support for the higher education market. Mr. Love also worked
for the Edusoft division of IBM while doing under-graduate work. While
at IBM, he supervised the efforts of five testing and program
modification teams. Mr. Love was also product line Manager for
Sanyo/Icon, a developer and manufacturer of RISC-based UNIX systems and
intelligent disk subsystems for Novell networks. He holds a Bachelor's
degree in International Relations and was awarded an MBA from Brigham
