R. Paul Gupta – Quality Semiconductor Inc (qual)

R. PAUL GUPTA is President and CEO of Quality Semiconductor, Inc. He has served as President of the company since June 1994 and CEO since March 1996. He served as Vice President of operations from August 1992 until June 1994. Mr. Gupta has more than 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. As President and CEO, he is responsible for the day-to-day running of the company's business and for controlling the direction of new product development. Prior to joining Quality Semiconductor, Inc., in 1992, Mr. Gupta held various top management positions. From 1988 to 1992, he was President of Blackship Computers, a systems integration company. From 1983 to 1988, he held various management positions including President at General Electric's Intersil semiconductor operation. He was responsible for the complete, world-wide day-to-day operation of the company's business. He was responsible for streamlining business and factory-planning functions, to enable Intersil to more accurately project product flow requirements, and for marketing support activities for U.S. and offshore sales activities. Prior to joining Intersil, Mr. Gupta held various management positions at Raytheon's Semiconductor Operation in Mountain View, California. Before Raytheon, Mr. Gupta was with Fairchild Semiconductor. Mr. Gupta: Quality Semiconductor was founded in 1989 by Mr.
