PETER BRERETON assumed his current role as President and CEO of TECSYS
in 1998. Mr. Brereton joined TECSYS, Inc. as a Programmer Analyst and
Software Designer in 1984 when the company was in its infancy. From 1987
through 1990, Mr. Brereton concentrated his efforts on supporting
customers and successfully implementing TECSYS' software solutions as
implementation consultant and customer business process re-engineer. In
order to strengthen sales, from 1991-1992, he focused on sales and
implementation activities, specifically in the garment and distribution
industries. Thus began TECSYS' involvement and subsequent extensive
knowledge of distribution activities and processes. In 1993, Mr.
Brereton was appointed Senior Vice President, and was responsible for
product direction, research and development and marketing. Mr. Brereton
was named President of TECSYS in 1995. As CEO in 1998, Mr. Brereton, in
conjunction with TECSYS' Chairman, was responsible for the company's
successful IPO on the Toronto and Montreal stock exchanges. The offering
was made to obtain additional capital, primarily to increase research
and development activities supporting TECSYS' fulfillment solutions and
new e-commerce initiatives, resulting in the introduction of Elite.eCom
in 1999. While Mr. Brereton has been a driving force behind the success
of TECSYS, he is also a leader in the community through his involvement
in the TECSYS Foundation for Youth and the company's participation in
the Montreal Children's Hospital's ' Pedal for Kids fundraiser. Among
the projects being funded by the TECSYS Foundation for Youth is the
Education Plus school. Education Plus school opened in 1995 and its aim
is to meet the needs of de-motivated students. Education Plus offer
students a chance to go back to school and receive their high school
leaving certificate. Over the past three years, Education Plus has
taught over 90 students, many of whom who have gone on to higher
