PAUL J. BLACKNEY has served as President and Chief Executive Officer for
Worldspan, LP, since October 1999 and is also a member of the Worldspan
Board. Mr. Blackney guides worldwide activities for the company's three
major business lines: travel supplier services, e-commerce, and global
distribution systems. His lifelong career in the travel industry also
includes executive positions with United Airlines and Apollo/Galileo USA
Travel Services, where he was President and Chief Executive Officer. He
is also a past Board member of priceline.com and Navigant International.
Mr. Blackney was instrumental in automating operations for United
Airlines and helped guide the formation of the Galileo global alliance.
He was named CEO of Apollo Travel Services in March 1992. His prior
position was Senior Vice President of Business Operations for Covia
Partnership, before Covia's combination with the Galileo Company. Mr.
Blackney has twice been honored as 'Travel Industry Man of the Year' by
Travel Agent magazine. A native of Port Huron, Michigan, he is a 1969
graduate of the University of Michigan. He is a member of the World
