PARIS G. 'GARY' REECE III is currently Executive Vice President
and Chief Financial Officer of M.D.C. Holdings, Inc.. Mr. Reece
joined MDC as a Vice President in 1988. He was promoted to Chief
Financial Officer in 1990, Senior Vice President in 1994 and
Executive Vice President in 1999. Mr. Reece also is an officer
and Director of most of the company's principal operating
subsidiaries. Prior to joining MDC, Mr. Reece was the Director of
Tax Planning for Occidental Petroleum Corporation, where he
