Nick Humby was educated at the University of Birmingham, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse. Later he became Financial Controller for WH Smith Television before joining Pearson Television where he was promoted to Finance Director and Chief Operating Officer. He has also been VP Finance for CMGI Europe, Chief Operating Officer for Alta Vista International and interim Finance Director for NTL Broadcast. Nick joined Manchester United in January 2002 as Group Finance Director and a member of the Board of Manchester United PLC.
