Monroe J. Carrell Jr. – Central Parking Corporation

For over 32 years, MONROE J. CARELL, JR. has directed the growth and administration of Central Parking Corp. (NYSE:CPC), establishing it as the premier parking management firm in the world. In addition to his duties as Chairman and CEO of Central Parking Corp., he serves as a member of the Board of Directors for Cheekwood Botanical Gardens and Fine Arts Center, Corrections Corporation of America Real Estate Investment Trust, Vanderbilt Medical Center and Vanderbilt University Board of Trust, where he also serves as Chairman of the Budget Committee. Previously, Mr. Carell served as Vice President of the Urban Land Institute, and as President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Parking Association. He is a licensed Professional Engineer, having received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University. Mr. Carell and his wife, Ann, live in Nashville, Tennessee and have three daughters and six grandchildren. Profile
