Moir Lockhead is Chief Executive of FirstGroup. First is a UK based leading international passenger group with bus and rail operations in the UK and USA. The Company has grown to become the largest UK bus operator and it has three UK rail franchises. In addition it operates 15,500 school buses in North America and has annualised revenue of over 2bn, employing 57,000 people worldwide. He retired as Chairman of Scottish Enterprise Grampian in December 2001 after a three year term, having been a member on its Board since 1993. In 1993 he was awarded the Grampian Industrialist of the Year and in 1996 he was awarded an OBE in the Queens Birthday Honours. His hobbies include amateur farming and breeding highland cattle.
