MICHAEL A. STERNBERG is President, Chief Executive Officer and Director
of Universal Broadband Networks. Mr. Sternberg most recently served as
CEO of KMC Telecom Holdings Inc., a private CLEC. Under Mr. Sternberg's
direction KMC moved from a small staff to 1,100 employees while starting
and completing almost 42 metropolitan area networks in three and one
half years. KMC annual revenues under Mr. Sternberg grew from $3 million
to nearly $200 million (F2000 ext.) Mr. Sternberg was also instrumental
in assisting KMC in securing vendor and bond financing in excess of $1
billion. Mr. Sternberg was also Founder and Chief Operations Officer of
National Telephone Co., the nations first public interconnect company,
which grew from zero to $70 million in annual sales and 37 offices under
